Privacy Policy

Overview
FTools ("we", "us") provides free utilities at ftools.io. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site, and what stays on your device.
We do not require an account. We do not sell your personal information.
Browser tools (files stay on your device)
Many tools — including image compress/convert/resize, PDF merge/split, QR generation, hash/Base64 helpers, JSON formatting, and similar utilities — run entirely in your browser (Canvas, WebAssembly, or client-side JavaScript).
For those tools, the files you select are processed locally. They are not uploaded to FTools servers unless a tool page clearly says otherwise.
Download tools (temporary server processing)
Media download tools may send a public URL you paste to our servers so we can analyze available formats and prepare a temporary file. In that case we may process:
- The URL you submitted
- Technical metadata returned by extractors (title, duration, formats, thumbnails)
- A temporary output file stored briefly so you can download it
- Basic request metadata (approximate time, IP used for rate limiting, user agent)
Temporary download results are deleted automatically after a short period (typically within about one hour, or sooner when storage is cleaned). We do not keep a permanent library of the media you request.
You should only submit links you are allowed to access. Private, paid, or login-walled content may fail, and we do not claim to bypass platform protections.
Logs, security, and infrastructure
Like most websites, our servers and CDN (including Cloudflare when enabled) may log standard connection data such as IP address, timestamp, requested path, and browser user agent. We use this for security (rate limits, abuse prevention), reliability, and debugging — not for building advertising profiles.
Cookies and ads
Essential cookies or similar storage may be used by our CDN or hosting for security and performance. We do not use advertising cookies by default.
If we enable third-party ads later (for example Google AdSense), those partners may set their own cookies and process data under their policies. We will update this page before or when ads go live.
Third-party services
Download tools interact with third-party platforms (such as YouTube or Instagram) only as needed to fulfill your request. Those platforms have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle data on their systems.
Data retention
Temporary download files are short-lived. Operational logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations, then rotated or deleted.
Children
FTools is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not use the service if you are under that age.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of FTools after an update means you accept the revised policy.
